Taylor Swift's new album, Reputation, drops on November 10, but the singer has already released four songs from the record. The latest is "Call It What You Want," an emotional track about a relationship where the label doesn't matter.
While the obvious inspiration for the song is Taylor's current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, some fans think it's actually about Tom Hiddleston.
Here are all the clues that the song might really be inspired by the reign of Hiddleswift.
"Cause my baby's fit like a daydream / Walking with his head down / I'm the one he's walking to."
During their brief courtship, Taylor and Tom were frequently photographed dodging the paparazzi—often with their heads down. It's the kind of tiny visual detail Taylor loves to drop into her songs.
"My baby's fly like a jet stream / High above the whole scene."
"Call It What You Want" contains a lot of references to flight—something Taylor and Tom did a lot of while they were dating. They famously took their love on a world tour.
"I said "you don't need to save me / But would you run away with me?" / Yes."
Speaking of taking trips, could that be what Taylor is referencing with her run away line?
Of course, there are also some very big clues that point to Joe Alwyn as the inspiration for the song and seem incongruous with Taylor and Tom's relationship.
"Nobody's heard from me in months / I'm doing better than I ever was."
Taylor took several months out of the spotlight after her public feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, but it wasn't until after her relationship with Tom ended that she really stepped away. If she's doing better than she ever was after months away, that can only be about Joe.
"I want to wear his initial on a chain around my neck / Chain round my neck / Not because he owns me / But 'cause he really knows me."
She really did this—at her best friend Abigail's wedding.
"I recall late November / Holding my breath, slowly I said 'you don't need to save me / But would you run away with me?' Yes."
While she did also run away with Tom in a sense, theirs was a summer romance and definitely done by November.
So who is "Call It What You Want" about? Given Taylor's history of vague secrecy about her songs, we'll probably never know for sure.
