If it feels like way too long since you last randomly added "aca" to the beginning of a word and called it a joke, your wait is almost over! Pitch Perfect 3 is out in less than a month, and a brand-new clip just dropped to remind us all why we still love The Bellas.
The sneak peek finds The Bellas reuniting for an overseas USO tour – with a lineup still featuring Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow and all of your other faves – where a mean new band tries to intimidate them.
The original squad are having none of this nonsense, natch, and respond by challenging the newbies to an a cappella riff-off, egged on as ever by Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins' commentators.
It's a pretty great medley, until Wilson's Amy derails it with a foghorn note – featuring Pink's 'Get The Party Started', Walk the Moon's 'Shut Up and Dance', R. Kelly's 'Ignition' and Dr. Dre's 'Let Me Ride'. And while Camp's Audrey declares their victory on a technicality, it seems like this new band might be a force to reckon with.
For one: they have instruments. For two: they're led by none other than Ruby Rose, who is playing a character literally named Calamity. And for three: they barely even seem to notice The Bellas' existence, let alone see them as a threat. This will not stand.
Pitch Perfect 3, which will be the franchise's final instalment, hits cinemas on December 22.
