It's only just been confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged, but it's already been announced the actress will be joining the Queen for Christmas at Sandringham this year.

Buckingham Palace has just revealed Her Majesty and other members of the royal family - including the Suits star - will join the congregation for the morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church on 25 December.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: 'You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day.'

Markle's attendance at the traditional royal affair goes against usual royal protocol however, as the Duchess of Cambridge was not invited to join Prince William for Christmas in 2010, despite announcing their engagement a month before.

Markle was recently omitted from the Queen and Prince Philip's 70th wedding anniversary celebrations at Windsor Castle, as was Princess Eugenie's boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank.

But it is being rumoured that the royals will also be toasting Markle and Harry's exciting news during their Christmas festivities.
