Production for Blake Lively's film, The Rhythm Section, has been halted after she injured her hand while filming an action sequence in Dublin, Ireland, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

A spokesman for the movie released a statement to THR saying, "Paramount, Global Road (formerly known as IM Global) and producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli today confirmed that filming has been temporarily suspended on The Rhythm Section as Blake Lively sustained an injury to her hand whilst filming an action sequence. Production will resume as soon as possible."

There was no word on how severe the injury is or how long production will be suspended.

Blake Lively on second day of filming for The Rhythm Section in Dublin.

When the film was first announced, Wilson and Broccoli told The Hollywood Reporter, "It is exciting for us to be working with the immensely talented team of director Reed Morano and actress Blake Lively, who have a strong vision for this very compelling story driven by a female protagonist."

The film is an adaptation of the first book of the same name from Mark Burnell's Stephanie Patrick series. The novel follows Patrick, played by Lively in the film, as she tries to solve the mystery of her family's death after their plane crashes into the Atlantic—the same flight that she was supposed to be on. She later takes on different personalities, including one of an assassin, to deal with their death and figure out the truth about their deaths.

Reed Morano, who recently directed the first three episodes of The Handmaid's Tale, is directing the film. Jude Law stars opposite of Lively.
