Cardi B is by far the most explosive artist of 2017. She broke records. Then she broke more records. She dethroned Taylor Swift's number one song in America. If you follow her on Instagram—which you absolutely should do—she has probably the most hilarious 'grams on the platform. My personal favorite is when she buys her first Bentley with cash even though she doesn't know how to drive (she did grow up in New York, so it makes sense). But it's her no-shits-given personality that made her a social media sensation, a reality TV star, and now a Grammy nominated rapper. You just have to keep up with her.
Unfortunately, Jimmy Fallon didn't really know how to do that in an interview last night with Cardi B. And it's perfect. He's mostly left speechless at her antics as he tries to ask the most basic questions possible. Cardi completely directs the interview, answering what she wants, when she wants, and how she wants. And that's exactly what anyone who has heard her music should expect. The result is five delightful minutes of Cardi B being Cardi B. Enjoy.
