Last night, Jessica Chastain took the stage in Studio 8H as the host of Saturday Night Live. The Oscar-nominee held her own with the hilarious cast, and, in a particularly standout sketch, she broke the fourth wall and changed the game for SNL's commentary on Donald Trump.

The sketch in question is titled "What Even Matters Anymore?" and stars Chastain as "Veronica," the host of a Jeopardy-like game show in which contestants are presented with something Trump has done and asked to guess if it even matters—as in, did it bring about any real consequences for the politician.

The answer is, of course, always no. Nothing matters anymore, "Veronica" laments, breaking down further and further until a Kate McKinnon, who plays one of the contestants, asks Jessica if she's okay and tries to assure her that everything will be okay.

The sketch perfectly captures the anguish that many Americans feel these days and it's totally appropriate that the conversation becomes about real people and not the characters they're playing.
