We already know Claire Foy is a master of the prestige drama thanks to her Emmy-nominated turn as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown. But for her latest project, she's moving in a decidedly different direction with a psychological thriller—and you've definitely never seen her like this before.

Foy stars in Steven Soderbergh's newest film, Unsane, which he shot solely on an iPhone. The chilling first trailer was released today, finally illuminating details of the super-secret project kept under wraps for months.

Foy plays Sawyer Valentini, a young woman struggling to rebuild her life after moving away to avoid a stalker. 'Your life slips away from you, you know'" she tells a therapist in the trailer's opening moments. 'Changing your phone number and your email becomes normal. Taking out a restraining order, normal. Relocating to another city, normal.'

Sawyer admits she keeps seeing the stalker everywhere—'Rationally, I know, this is my imagination, but I'm alone in a strange city, and I never feel safe'—and that's when things start to get scary. Sawyer's therapist asks her to fill out more forms, and then she learns she voluntarily committed herself. She starts seeing her stalker inside the psych ward, and she gets violent as she begins to question her own sanity. What follows is murder, the distinct sensation of losing one's mind and Foy showing off an impressive American accent as she screams, 'I'm not crazy!'

In just two and a half minutes, Foy shows she's capable of pulling off a scream queen just as convincingly as a British monarch. Unsane also stars Jay Pharoah and Juno Temple, and it hits theatres March 23.
