Standard scotch eggs combined with chocolate might not typically be something you'd describe as 'delicious', but when it involves Cadbury's Creme Eggs, sprinkles and cake mix? You've got a whole other level of mouth-watering on your hands.

By replacing the duck egg with a Cadbury Creme Egg, and then the meaty coating with cake mix, bakers and trend-setters alike have created the most indulgent, gooey, rich dessert - and we need to try one as a matter of urgency.

There are various recipes for the Creme Scotch Egg floating around the internet, but the general vibe on how exactly to make them involves baking a chocolate cake and putting it in a food processor until it resembles breadcrumbs.

The crumbled cake is then mixed with chocolate frosting until it's squidgy (yup) to the touch and mouldable, before it's wrapped around the Creme Egg and dipped in sprinkles.

Oh God we're dribbling even thinking about it.
