The final Harry Potter book might have been released more than ten years ago, but we're still obsessed with finding out any more we can about our favourite magical book and film franchise.

So when we found out that the Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition, which begun showing at the British Library at the end of last year and sold out very quickly, was moving online we got very excited.

The exhibition shows rare books, manuscripts, sketches and behind-the-scenes objects, including author extraordinaire JK Rowling's original sketch of Hogwarts grounds, including the Whooping Willow, Quidditch stadium and Forbidden forest.

There's also the original synopsis of what Harry Potter was basically going to be about, which Rowling sent out to publishers in 1995 (the Philosopher's Stone was published in 1997).

Elsewhere, the online exhibition contains an immersive 360-degree Divination room, drawings and paintings by the book's illustrator Jim Kay and Q&As with people involved with the creation of the book and museum.

The museum has 10 original exhibitions and is showing in six different languages via the free Google Arts & Culture app.
