1Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, "The Cowboy"
Yes, the "brain-dead redneck asshole" is none other than our friend Justin. SEE? A TRUE CHAMELEON.
2The Girl on the Train, "Tom"
Of all his roles, this is the one you're most likely to remember is played by Theroux. It's recent, it was a blockbuster, and there are a lot of racy and dangerous scenes that imprint themselves on the mind. But he's so good at pulling back his star wattage to seem like a regular guy—something all the leads in this movie excelled at.

4Parks and Recreation, Justin
Dang! Leslie (Amy Poehler) dated Justin for just a short while after she broke it off with loveable cop Dave (Louis CK). This fancy lawyer-type looks like Justin. He talks like Justin. Even his name is Justin. But somehow I still forgot it was him.
5Alias, "Simon Walker"
ABC Alias had the best villains. Gina Torres, Melissa George, Merrin Dungey, and...Justin Theroux? To be fair, he was only in it for a couple of episodes. But we would never have associated this emo mercenary with, say, Sexy Cowboy or Evil DJ.
6Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, "Seamus O'Grady"
It's very disturbing to realize your sexual awakening was partially caused by someone you didn't realize was Justin Theroux.

7Mulholland Drive, "Adam"
Everyone in the early 2000s looked like this! How was I supposed to know it was him?
8Six Feet Under, "Joe"
Is Justin Theroux allergic to shirts? That's too bad. If you'd forgotten about his stint as Brenda's (Rachel Griffiths) French Horn–playing boyfriend, you won't forget it ever again.
9Sex and the City, "Vaughn Wysel" and "Jared"
Sex and the City must have counted on us forgetting Theroux was in the show, because he popped up twice as someone who was super into Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker). First, he was an insufferable, puka-shell-bedecked novelist she met at a bar. The second time, he was reborn as Vaughn Wysel. You know—the premature ejaculator with the rad family. Anyway, Theroux's double-act proved that Clark Kent's idea about using glasses as a costume wasn't so dumb after all.
