For many of us, the first time we heard of Travis Scott was last year, when Kylie Jenner was seen court side with the 25 year-old rapper.

After 20 year-old Jenner ended her three year on-and-off relationship with rapper Tyga, she began a relationship with Scott, swiftly getting pregnant and announcing their daughter's birth on the 4th February 2018.

However, being the beau and baby daddy of Kylie Jenner is but one facet of the young man from Houston. The musician and producer has been a trailblazer in recent Hip-Hop, with echoes of the sounds of Kanye West, Migos and more.

So, to help us all a little bit more about him, we created a list of things you may not know about Travis Scott.

1

He Might Be Engaged To Kylie Jenner

When the beauty mogul announced that she had given birth on the 1st February 2018, she released a short film detailing her and boyfriend Travis Scott's nine month journey to parenthood.

In the 11 minute movie, eagle-eyed fans noticed Jenner hugged her round belly with her left hand that was complete with a sparkler of a ring on that finger.

Though they are young and have been dating for less than a year, the pair are clearly devoted to each other (see the songs he has written about her and their matching tattoos for reference), so an impending wedding doesn't seen like the craziest thing, right?

He Has Been Arrested For Inciting A Riot

Scott's live shows are known for their raucous nature. He is said to encourage fans to storm the stage, and even suggested fans jump from the balcony whilst others catch them (there has reportedly been one case of a fan breaking their leg from this kind of stunt).

In true rock and roll nature, the new father has been arrested twice for this kind of behaviour.

He Has Collaborated With Kanye West For Years

As well as making his own music, Scott has been producing with Kanye West for years, working on both his Yeezus and Life of Pablo album.

In fact, he was signed with West back in 2012, when he was about 19.

Scott is something like West's protege, touring and performing with him regularly and even hanging with West's in-laws (this photo is of Kris Jenner, West and Scott in Paris back in 2015).

This means Scott has been around Kylie for a while before they were romantically linked, suggesting friendship may have come first.

Travis Scott Is Not Actually Called Travis Scott

In true musician fashion, Travis Scott is not his original moniker. The rapper is actually called Jacques Webster. But that's not all, he also goes under other names, such as La Flame and Cactus Jack.

He May Have Dated Rihanna

Around 2015, there were multiple reports that the Houston rapper was romantically involved with pop-star, philanthropist, designer and beauty mogul Rihanna.

With plenty of paparazzi shots of the pair leaving clubs and arriving at clubs minutes apart, the smoking gun came in the form of leaked CCTV footage of the couple apparently kissing in a night club.

6

He Is Obsessed With Butterflies

Butterflies appear to play a massive role in Scott and Kylie's relationship.

His song 'Butterfly Effect' is seemingly about his relationship with Jenner, referencing the Hidden Hills, where she lives. He also posted an Instagram shot of Kylie getting onto a private jet with the single title as the caption.

In June of last year both of them inked a small butterfly onto their ankles and in August, he gave her a diamond necklace covered in butterflies for her 20th birthday.

In their birth announcement video butterflies were present throughout, leading many to believe they will name their daughter Butterfly.

He Wants To Go To Harvard To Study Architecture

In an interview with Rolling Stone the music-maker revealed that his creative energy could not be contained in one career. In fact, not satisfied with producing, rapping and singing, Scott wants to make his way into architecture.

'He explained to the magazine that his head is constantly bustling with ideas, when explaining why he thinks Harvard and architecture might be for him, he responded:

I'm a master of my own imagination. I go off my own shit. I'm not into deep study – all that, like, reading? That's how shit ends up looking like someone else's shit. You ever see pictures in your head? I be having that all day. It's like a museum. That's why I don't do too many drugs, because my brain would explode. I'm my own drug. If I bleed and someone licked my blood, it's like liquid MDMA – know what I'm saying?'

Totally.
