Rail replacement bus services.  The inconvenience of these journeys can at times leave you feeling grumpy and irritated as you all crowd on to an old bus that is often damp and smelly.

However, these conditions do not excuse one man's recent outburst on a rail bus service between Newport and Cwmbran in South Wales.

Facebook user Tom Bradbury witnessed a mother wearing a niqab turn to her son and speak to him in another language.

For some reason, a white man who sat in front of the mother and son decided to intervene, saying: 'When you're in the UK you should really be speaking English.'

Little did this man know that this comment would backfire on him as a different female passenger interjected with the response: "She's in Wales. And she's speaking Welsh."

According to Tom, the man soon fell silent whilst others around him simply laughed.
