Over the weekend, Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington revealed his devastation at the UK leaving the European Union.

The 29-year-old actor, who is currently starring in Doctor Faustus in the West End, was caught on camera telling fans how he felt about the news that 52 per cent of Britons voted to leave the European Union.

'It's a f*cking sad day. We've left the European Union. It's a f*cking terrible mistake'

A fan who was waiting outside the theatre for Harington's autograph posted the outburst on Instagram and asked him whether he had been able to vote.

'I did vote and it's awful,' he replied.

Kit's reaction comes after HBO confirmed Game of Thrones' filming will not be affected by the UK leaving the European Union.

Given  the majority of the show's scenes are filmed primarily in Northern Ireland and throughout Europe, the news sparked concern among fans.

HBO told Bustle: 'We do not anticipate that the result of the EU Referendum will have any material effect on HBO producing Game of Thrones.'

Phew.
