Last night, Team ELLE popped down to the London premiere of the new Tarzan movie, starring Alexander Skarsgård, Margot Robbie and Christopher Waltz.
And we are pleased to report that Alex is just as tall in person.
The movie itself is fairly predictable for a jungle romp, but what a lot of viewers seem to have been quite pre-occupied by, is just the amount of screen time given over to Skarsgård's rippling torso.
Known most prominently as a rather slender pretty-boy vampire in True Blood, it took some people by surprise to see Alexander's solid-looking eight-pack.
It turns out, according to his current squeeze Alexa Chung, that this is something he had to work incredibly hard for.
Posting to Instagram last night from the premiere, Alexa made reference to a grueling schedule of weight training and protein-packed meals.
