A wonderful thing is happening in the U.K. in October, in that the performance series Letters Live will be returning to the London scene.

Letters Live is inspired by blogger and author Shaun Usher's Letters of Note, a collection of important correspondence between some of the world's more noteworthy names.

The line-up of celebrities who will read is a closely guarded secret, but with past luminaries including Benedict Cumberbatch, Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac, Ian McKellen and Tom Hiddleston, the list will surely not disappoint.

If you haven't yet watched ELLE favourite Benedict Cumberbatch reading this letter from a very young Tom Hanks to Hollywood director George Roy Hill, you've been missing out:

For every one of the Letters Live events, proceeds have been given over to important causes, with those from the early 2016 series benefitting the Calais refugees.

Tickets go on sale at the end of this week for the October event, you can find out more here.
