For most of us, an Uber ride quite often involves an awkward chat about the weather, a debate over using the AUX cable to play our own music or a confusing discussion about star ratings.
So spare a second for Lorde who might just have endured the most awkward Uber ride yet.
On Tuesday, the Royals singer live-tweeted her encounter with an Uber driver who gushed about how he'd just driven a 'celebrity passenger' before picking her up.
The New Zealand-born star also mused to her 4 million Twitter followers about how her driver probably wishes he was still driving around the other celebrity.
But it looks like the singer isn't the only singer to go unrecognised by a cab driver.
