In what's quite possibly the best nostalgic news we've heard this year so far, MTV is set to introduce a 'classic' TV channel dedicated to all of our favourite shows from the 90s and early 2000s.

Launching on August 1, the 35th anniversary of MTV, the channel will be a rebrand of VH1 Classic and will take fans back to the good ol' days of Beavis & Butt-Head, Aeon Flux, Real World and the best of MTV Unplugged, highlighting episodes with Bob Dylan, Erykah Badu and Nirvana.

The debut hour will repeat the first ever hour of MTV's programming – which will also be available to watch via Facebook Live, because 21st century technology and all that jazz.

And for the reality TV afiocnodos amongst us, there's even greater news as the weekends will be an epic binge-worthy marathon of shows like Real World and Laguna Beach.

Oh, sweet memories.
