Zayn Malik Lands Hollywood Role In Television Series

You know the song that goes, 'Anything you can do I can do better'?

Well, our September ELLE cover star Zayn Malik is taking the lyrics to heart as he is following in the footsteps of his former bandmate Harry Styles and launching a career in Hollywood.

The 23-year-old singer revealed exclusively to ELLE UK (that's us) that he has landed a role as an executive producer on a TV series with the creators of the Emmy-winning US series Entourage.

Inspired by the show – about a an actor and his friends in Hollywood  – Zayn's new project will be based on an aspiring boyband and how they come to terms with their new-found fame.

And if there's one person who has experience in a boyband's rise to global success, it's Zayn.

The vocalist recently expressed a desire to carve out a career in acting, much like his former friend Harry Styles who is currently filming for Christopher Nolan's new World War II drama, Dunkirk.

'I started acting when I was in school with theatre studies and then music came after,' he told ELLE.

'It completely stopped when I joined the band but I'd definitely be interested if I was given the right role,' he added.

Singing, modelling, producing,  acting – is there anything Zayn can't do?
