If you've ever had an undercut, spontaneous bob or a Natalie Portman-inspired pixie crop and instantly regretted it, you'll know how painstakingly tiresome it is to try and grow it out.
For some reason, it's as if your hair refuses to grow in spite. Curse you hair!
But, we finally think we have the solution – Matt Damon.
In the past month, the Ocean's Eleven actor has gone from having a short back and sides to full-scale man bun.
Yup, a man bun.
Now, unless this is a wig, we're convinced this is actual proof of magic.
Last month, the actor was seen sporting a cute short cut you might see on a boy on the first day back at school, during the press tour for his recent film, Jason Bourne.
Fast forward to yesterday and the actor has a thick mane of hair tied back in a hipster bun.
But, this isn't the first time we've seen Damon with luscious long locks. Last year, the We Bought A Zoo actor showed of a similar length ponytail which turned out to be for role in the upcoming film The Great Wall.
However, we know that Rapunzel-esque hair wasn't au naturel, rather the result of 700 hair extensions.
We're not quite sure why or how Damon now has long hair but its giving us some serious hair envy.
