Sorry Blake and Ryan, Channing and Jenna, David and Victoria – you have competition, and unfortunately for you, these two are really good at winning competitions.

Last night 24-year-old Laura Trott won her fourth gold medal, making her Britain's most successful female Olympian with her fourth gold, in the omnium.

A few hours later, her fiancé 28-year-old Jason Kenny won his sixth Olympic gold medal, making him equal Sir Chris Hoy's historic number of wins.

Between them, the couple have 10 gold medals –  if there were a country, they'd sit 13th on the medal table above Jamaica, Kenya and Brazil.

Just let that sink in for a second.

Not only are they both some of the most decorated Olympians in British history, but they make the most adorable couple, don't you think?

In the run up to her finance's sixth gold medal win last week, Laura tweeted:

And following Jason's nail-biting final in the men's omnium last night, his proud fiancé took to Twitter to express her relief:

And the athlete couldn't help tweet her happiness following Kenny's landmark win:

The two went public with their relationship in the buildup to London 2012, when they were spotted kissing behind David Beckham at the beach volleyball match on Horse Guards Parade.

But what else do we know of the sporting pair?

According to their families, Laura is known as the Chatty Cathy of the pair while Jason is more reserved.

'The difference in their characters is what makes it work for them,' says Trott's father Adrian.

'Until he gets to know you, Jason is a little bit shy. He's quiet and understated. Laura is bubbly, chatty, just as you see in her interviews.

'If they were both like Jason, God only knows how they'd talk about anything. And God forbid having two Lauras in a household!' he added.

The duo started dating after Jason brought Laura home to his family for a bacon sandwich and ended up proposing to her in 2014 while watching a Christmas Day special of Eastenders on the sofa.

While the two clearly deserve a well-earned break, they won't have much time to rest as they plan to get married next month.

Well, for a couple of Olympic Gold Champions, timing is everything.

Congratulations, Laura and Jason!
