If you were one of those kids at school whose mum would elbow other parents out of the way to capture you on video recorder during the Navity play or put up 'Congratulations' banners outside the house the day you came home with your A Level results, you'll know how Diana Ross' daughter feels right now.

Last week,Tracee Ellis Ross (daughter of music royalty Diana) received a nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy for her role on ABC's Black-ish which saw her become the first black woman to be nominated in that category since Phylicia Rashad's 1986 role in The Cosby Show.

But a celebratory meal out or bunch of flowers wasn't enough for the Endless Love singer.

This mammoth achievement deserved a full-page notice in The Hollywood Reporter which read 'Congratulations to my daughter Tracee Ellis Ross on her nomination for lead actress in a comedy series for her work on Black-ish, so proud of you. Love, Mom and the Ross family.'

A thrilled Tracee shared a picture of the advert on Twitter with the caption: "OMG how cute r my mom ... & family 4 taking an ad in [The Hollywood Reporter]!"
