While we'll reluctantly share our food during a dinner party or allow a friend to have a sip (a sip, not a gulp) of our cocktail on a night out, one thing's for sure – we like a hot bath to ourselves, unlike Lily-Rose Depp and Natalie Portman, it seems.

Yesterday saw the release of the pair's new film, Planetarium, in which you'll watch the actresses sit in a bathtub together and share a cigarette.

The French-Belgian film centers on a pair of American sisters in 1930s pre-war Paris who claim to be spiritualists that can contact the dead.

The two francophiles (Depp's mother is French singer Vanessa Paradis while Portman is married to French ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied) speak a mélange of French and English in the film, as their characters, Laura and Kate, attempt to navigate a career in French cinema after a film producer offers them their big break in front of the camera.

Planetarium is out in cinemas 16 November.
