Imagine the scene.

You're mindlessly sitting at your desk, furiously typing out an email to a colleague, half-dreaming of what you're going to have for lunch and Prince William and Kate Middleton walk through the office doors straight past you.

Well, swap the desk for some scaffolding and this is exactly what happened to builder Sam Wayne and his colleagues when the royal couple made a trip to Truro Cathedral, Cornwall to support an appeal for the buildings new roof.

Not one to miss a royal selfie opportunity (more on that later), the construction worked posed in front of the couple in clear view of Kate and William for his selfie.

The builder – now referred to as 'Hunky Builder' – managed to take a picture of himself with the pair, who were in fits of giggles at his bold move.

However, it's not the first time Sam has managed to snap a picture with a member of the Royal family.

Two years ago, the Cornish builder took a close-up selfie with Prince Charles and uploaded the image to Facebook.
