Ladies (and gents?), listen up.

If you want to know the key to unlock actor Chris Pine's heart, forget Hollywood showbiz parties and séjours to the Bahamas because he's just admitted he's just as happy with a 'good pint of bitter, tea and pasties'.

Hallelujah.

Last night, the 36-year-old attended the screening of his new heist film Hell Or High Water and told the Standard that London is practically his second home.

'As soon as I get to London I go to my favourite hotel and immediately dump my bags and go to Bar Italia and Monmouth Coffee — coffee is a big part of my life. I have pretty much lived here more than I have in my own home for the last couple of years,' he said.

Er, hello new coffee hangouts…

The Star Trek star also opened up about the soft spot he holds for Leeds, following his stint in Yorkshire while he was an exchange student from the University of California.

'I have a soft spot for the Northerners as that's where I spent a period of my life when I was a kid, and I love my Yorkshire brethren. I developed a taste for a good pint of bitter, tea and pasties,' he added.

Right, so let us get this straight. The man loves London, indulges in the odd pint and loves carbs as much as us?

If that wasn't enough, the hearthrob also opened about his ambitions to take his career to the West End one day, following an inspirational viewing of Judi Dench in Peter And Alice at the Noël Coward Theatre during his press tour for the first Star Trek film.

'Then we went out back afterwards and met Judi and she was in a bathrobe, and she is f****** awesome. What an awesome broad! She's exactly what you would imagine an old-school actress to be.'

'I'd love to do theatre here. I love good scripts and interesting characters, and it would just take a good piece of material.'

Calling all script writers – get writing some new material. Chris is waiting*.

*As are we.
