Remember when Miley wore that chainmail floor-length Marc Jacobs gown to the Met Gala in 2013?

Or her spandex pink 'Do It' inflatable dress to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2015?

Well, prepare to say goodbye to Miley's eccentric array of paparazzi-ready outfits, because the singer has vowed never to walk the red carpet again.

Like, ever.

In an interview with ELLE US, the 23-year-old pop star explains her last red carpet appearance was last year for Bill Murray's Netflix film, A Very Murray Christmas, because as she struggles to understand the significance of the publicity stunt.

'Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red? Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit — it's like Zoolander,' she said.

The news comes after Cyrus parted ways with her longtime publicist Meghan Prophet of PMK•BNC last year and now focusses her attention on sharing her intimate moments – ranging from political opinions to life with fiancé Liam Hemsworth – with fans over Instagram.

We're not quite sure vowing to avoid the red carpet is exactly the road to world peace but we applaud the fact she's hasn't lost sight of what's really important in life.

You go, Miley.
