Mark this day in your diaries because Angelina Jolie has reportedly filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.
Stay strong, people. Stay strong.
According to TMZ, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress filed papers for divorce from Brad on Monday citing irreconcilable differences.
The news source reports that the 41-year-old is asking for physical custody of their six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivian – and isn't asking for spousal support.
Meanwhile, Jolie has asked for Brad to be given visitation rights, as it's alleged the actor only wants legal custody – not joint physical custody – of the pair's brood.
According to reports, Jolie has asked celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser to conduct divorce proceedings – the same lawyer she hired when she divorced Billy Bob Thornton in 2003.
While the news is yet to be confirmed by the pair, several publications are citing a third party may be involved, in the form of Brad's Allied co-star, French actress Marion Cotillard, who is married to fellow French actor Guillaume Canet.
Angelina and Brad met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith before marrying in August 2014.
If this news proves to be true, we are calling this an international day of mourning.
