When we're cruising at around 40,000ft on a long-haul flight we have exactly five priorities:

  1. Asking for more pillows for optimal cacooning
  2. Watching every film on-board
  3. Only waking up if we hear the clinking of wheels from the trolley carrying free alcohol
  4. Making sure we're not within 10ft of a child (kicking of chairs and tears? No, thank you)
  5. Trying to bag a free upgrade to first class ('Yeah, we're on our honeymoon. Sure.')

But, it looks like David Beckham has other things in mind on a plane – doing push-ups.

Usually, the news of someone attempting to do exercise on a flight would deserve an eye roll but the footballer-come-model deserves a round of applause on this occasion, as he was taking part in the '22 push-up challenge in 22 days' charity fundraiser (much like the ALS ice bucket challenge) to raise awareness for servicemen suffering with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) from Afghanistan.

The father-of-four posted a video of the fitness regime to Instagram, after taking up the challenge from best friend, director Guy Ritchie.

As a result, David dared other close males in his life to do the same Guy Ritchie, Brooklyn Beckham and, oh yeah, Justin Theroux.

Now, since when were DB and Jennifer Aniston's husband BFFs?

Have we missed something?

Well, after a bit of research, we found out that Beckham and Theroux are in fact firm friends and were spotted on a boys' night out this time last year in New York following Victoria Beckham's collection debut at NYFW.

But, what on earth could they have to talk about?

Successful wives?

British football? (After all, Justin's cousin is Britain's documentary filmmaker/heartthrob Louis Theroux so they've got the whole British link going on)

Acting tips?

Who knows, but we hope to see more of this blossoming friendship.
