Ever since he voiced Woody in Toy Story, admitted he loves writing on vintage typewriters and took a selfie with a drunk fan who was asleep in a bar, we've been thinking long and hard about a way of getting Tom Hanks to adopt us.
Seriously, Tom. We're right here.
But last night, the Forrest Gump star cemented his status as 'Greatest Actor To Have Ever Lived' when he decided to let rip on Donald Trump in his latest interview.
During the promotional tour for his new film Inferno, the 60 year-old actor hit out at the Republican presidential candidate and his abhorrent dismissal of comments referring to sexual assault as 'locker-room talk'.
'He was at work, man. He wasn't in a locker room. He was at work. He was showing up to do a thing on camera,' he told Press Association.
'Look, I'm offended as a man. I'm not offended as a husband or a father. I'm offended as a guy.'
'That's just not right, I'm sorry. It's not right at work, it's not right in the locker room. It's wrong, period. The end. That's all.'
If a fan girl appreciation society existed for Tom Hanks in London right now, we'd be waving the baton and cartwheeling at the front right now.
But, old Hanksy had more to say on the matter. The father-of-four took the opportunity to call out Trump's lack of political experience compared to his competitor, Hillary Clinton.
'It's kind of like if you have a horrible, painful tooth, and you need a root canal. Who are you going to see? A guy who says, 'Oh, I think I can figure that out, how to do a root canal for you. Lay down'.
'Or are you going to see somebody who's done 6,000 of them. Has a degree on the wall and has a great history and expertise when it comes down to it?'
Hanks. Is. On. Fire.
