If you needed even more proof of the comeback of television, here it is.
The official trailer for the screen adaptation of Liane Moriarty's novel Big Little Lies, has just been released and boasts one hell of an impressive cast.
Directed by Dallas Buyers Club and Wild director Jean-Marc Vallée, the HBO's limited series stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgård with a storyline that is rumoured to see the lives of three mothers of children who go to the same school collide when a local murder takes place.
The trailer doesn't give much away but shows Reese Witherspoon looking pensive, a worried Nicole Kidman, Woodley almost fall off a cliff, steamy sex scenes a lot of eerie beach scenes.
Think of it as a mix between Desperate Housewives and The O.C.
The series will be out in 2017 which gives us enough time to binge watch everything else we have down on our never-ending list of television series.
Is it wrong to prioritise television over sleep? Nope.
