The US presidential race has been nothing short of crazy and unpredictable. Who would have ever thought a bronzed reality TV star and real estate mogul would rise to Republican candidacy?

But it seems 14 year old Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were onto something with their prediction for US president back in 2001.

The April/May 2001 issue of the Mary-Kate and Ashley magazine, along with all the expected pages devoted to pop stars in bucket hats, included a nine-page spread which asked the question 'When will we get out first female president, and who might it be?'

Their top prediction was Hillary Clinton, who had just finished her run as First Lady and begun her first term as US Senate.

The author of the original article, Cheryl Higley, told Refinery29 that Clinton topped that list because 'she had a more complete resume and a more visual national profile than most of the others.'

'She had already established herself as an attorney, an advocate for families and children, had been a sitting first lady of a two-term popular president (for the most part), and had just won a seat in the Senate. It was clear she might have what it takes to chart a path to the presidency' Higley added.

Let's pray their predictions come true.
