Anna Kendrick is hands down one of the funniest actresses and Tweeters on the planet.

No, don't try to argue with us, it's fact.

Who else can get away with lines like 'I like my men like I like my coffee. Silent' and 'Yes, of course I got your text – I'm just ignoring it. Don't make it weird'?

Anyway, besides being our social media queen, the self-deprecating and Academy Award-nominated actress has just opened up on who it feels to be heralded as a gay icon.

In an interview with The Advocate, Kendrick reveals: 'I'm such a straight, cis, Boringface McGee over here, so I love that that could be even a little true. The idea that I'm resonating with other people who have ever felt like outsiders is the coolest.'

Admitting that her 10 closest male and female friends are gay, she says: 'Gay people have just always been in my life. I remember my parents having to tell me as a kid that there were people, like some people in our church, who objected to homosexuality. I was like, 'Wait, so they're idiots, right?''

Preach, Anna. Preach.

The actress – who was praised for her on-screen chemistry with Chloe (Brittany Snow) in Pitch Perfect 2, earning the two a Teen Choice Award (and several hilarious fan fiction websites) - also notes that Thanksgiving isn't a holiday without lesbians, following her Instagram post last year that saw fans asking her if the women in the photo were gay.

'If I'm home with my family this Thanksgiving, there might be a few less lesbians, and I'm a bit unhappy about that,' she explains.

The Twilight actress also took the opportunity to discuss the on-going trend of 'girl crushes' on social media, most notably ones she has for actress like Blake Lively and Emily Blunt.

'I can't imagine how that manifests itself for straight men with guy crushes, but when girls have girl crushes, I feel like there's this sort of puppy love that's hard to explain. It's not a grown-up attraction, but it's not purely platonic admiration either,' she says.

Er, did she just describe the exact way we feel for her? Well, this is awkward.

Anyway, if like us, you're pretty much besotted with Kendrick, it's refreshing to know she welcomes your loves on social media.

'It's flattering. If a guy wants to f*ck you, it's like, congratulations, you have a vagina and a pulse. So if a girl wants to f*ck me, I can actually feel pretty good about that.'

Good to know, Anna.
