A video emerged late last night which appears to show singer Justin Bieber punching a fan in the face.
Bieber, who is currently in Barcelona, Spain as part of his worldwide Purpose tour, was spotted sitting in the back seat of a vehicle being slowly driven through a crowd, before a fan reached in through the window in an attempt to touch the 22-year-old star.
According to the BBC, footage of the incident then shows an arm – presumably Bieber's – to be seen reaching out of the car and forcing the fan to turn away.
Several reports state the fan was subsequently spotted with blood on his teeth and lips.
The reported scuffle comes eight months after Bieber announced he was 'done taking pictures' with fans. In a post to Instagram, the singer said: 'It has gotten to the point that people won't even say 'hi' to me or recognise me as a human.
I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to to keep my sanity.
While violence is not excusable, similarly to Gigi Hadid's recent incident which saw her elbowing a fan who attempted to pick her up in Milan, Bieber may have had reason to defend himself from a perceived threat to his safety.
Earlier in the day, the 'Sorry' singer was spotted training with football players at FC Barcelona, with famed Brazilian football star Neymar later posting an image of him attempting to defend the artists's speedy footwork.
Everyone deserves their personal space.
