While on the press tour for her new film, Passengers, Jennifer Lawrence appeared on The Graham Norton Show with costar Chris Pratt and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. On the show, Lawrence told a story of how she accidentally dismantled a sacred Hawaiian site and almost killed a co-worker while filming The Hunger Games.

"We were filming in Hawaii, and there were…sacred…rocks — I dunno, they were ancestors, who knows—they were sacred," she said. "And you're not supposed to sit on them, because you're not supposed to expose your genitalia to them. I however, was in a wet suit for this whole shoot, so, oh my god they were so good for butt itching!"

She went on to explain that after going to one of the giant rocks to scratch her butt, one of the rocks came loose and rolled down the mountain, almost killing the film's sound engineer.

Lawrence told the story lightly, but many people did not find what she did very funny. After the talk show episode aired on December 7, some posted criticism of Lawrence's tale on Twitter.

Lawrence has yet to respond to the backlash.
