Well, it's still 2016. Donald Trump caused controversy with a speech he made after being awarded 'Person of the Year' By Time Magazine.

He claimed he'd rather be 'Man of the Year' because 'Person of the Year' is politically correct.

After asking the crowd at a Louisiana rally he concluded, 'All the women want it to be Man of the Year'.

Time Magazine changed it from Man of the Year to Person of the Year in 1999. Angela Merkel was named it in 2015 making her only the 4th woman named as a solo honor in the 86 years of the awards existence.
