Tennis goddess Serena Williams somehow found time between dominating the tennis world and hanging out on Snapchat with Kate Middleton to go ahead and get engaged. She announced last week that she's getting married to Alexis Ohanian, a cofounder of Reddit. Naturally, she made the announcement on Reddit, and did so at the height of engagement season.

She announced the happy news on the 'I Said Yes' subreddit, which only has one post so far—hers. Williams posted an adorable cartoon illustration of the proposal, signed by Ohanian himself, whose username on Reddit is kn0thing.

She also posted a sweet poem in the comments section describing the romantic proposal: He packed her a bag and whisked her away to Rome, where they first met, to ask for her hand in marriage. Ohanian's comment below her poem? 'And you made me the happiest man on the planet.' Aw, you guys.

Yesterday, the tennis champion teased her fans with a joke picture of her engagement ring – which turned out to be a plastic taco mounted on a silver band – on Instagram, with the caption: 'Sneak peek. It was a corn tortilla of course in case you were wondering.'

The couple has kept a low profile over the past year, and it's tough to even find a photo of the two of them together. But Ohanian has frequently gushed about Williams on Instagram, cheering her victories in tennis and in fashion. This guy's a keeper.
