It's safe to say it's been a busy week for model Chrissy Teigen.

Not only did she take down a Twitter troll who asked why she didn't try to conceive naturally but she also started a book club with friend Kim Kardashian and celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin.

Of course, good things happen in threes so imagine our delight when we found out Teigen has modeled for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue months after giving birth to her daughter Luna.

In a behind-the-scenes clip of the shoot, the hilarious A-lister opened up about her reluctance to model for the magazine.

The 31-year-old, who first appeared in SI as 'Rookie of the Year' in 2010, told the magazine: 'It's been a while since I've done anything swimsuit.

'I haven't shot since baby. But of course you know that [SI Swimsuit editor] MJ [Day] and everyone at Sports Illustrated in general is going to embrace your body no matter what's happening and embrace the changes,' she added.

Editor MJ Day also revealed the Lip Sync Battle commentator originally wanted to wear one-piece suits for the shoot and asked if she could cover up with a blanket as she hadn't done a swimsuit gig since given birth.

'I think she surprised herself on this trip, because I don't think she was seeing herself quite the way we were seeing her,' said MJ, who reportedly shot Teigen with renowned photographer James Macari on exotic Sumba Island near Bali.

Opening up about her growing confidence as a new Mum with a post-baby figure, the model said: 'For a mother, it's nice to be able to be back in your element and it's so important to my well-being that I'm able to come out here and do something that I'm proud of.'

Snaps for Chrissy.
