If you had high hopes for attending a Taylor Swift concert this year, you might want to make other plans as the singer has just revealed that her pre-Super Bowl concert on Saturday might be her only show this year.

Over the weekend, the 27-year pop star took to the stage for a 16-song set in Houston, Texas for her biggest performance since finishing her relentless globe-trotting '1989' tour in 2015.

On the night, she asked the crowd: 'You have come from all over the world — possibly to see football, but would it be all right with you if we played some music first?'

Taking to the stage in a Versace outfit and Stuart Weizman boots, the Grammy-award winner gifted fans her first live performance of her single'Better Man' – rumoured to be about her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris – before warning the audience that her friend Zayn Malik would not be joining her for a duet for her latest hit single, 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever'.

Managing expectations, the singer said: 'I don't want you to think Zayn is going to come out, because he's definitely not', before playing an acoustic version of the song.

However, at the end of the night, Taylor surprised fans when she admitted that she doesn't have any plans to perform another show this year.

'I have to be really honest with you about something: As far as I know, I'm doing one show in 2017. And as far as I know, this is that one show,' she said.

'So what I'm trying to tell you is, by coming here tonight, you're essentially attending 100 percent of my tour dates for the year, so thank you!

'You're the crowd in my most recent daydreams, when I'm thinking about being onstage, so I was wondering: If you don't feel like dancing for yourself or screaming for yourself, you don't feel in the mood or whatever, you're like stressed out, would you do it for me tonight?' she added.

As far as I know, I'm doing one show in 2017.

Following her emotional performance, the '22' singer posted a video to Instagram of her adorable cats, Meredith and Olivia, sitting on chairs in her green-room, while her friends and brother, Austin, were forced to stand.

Taylor, please don't leave us!
