When a first-born is about to welcome younger siblings, it's not uncommon for their parents to treat their little one with the odd present or a day trip to the zoo, to show them how much they're loved.

Of course, if you're Beyoncé and Jay Z, this means taking their daughter, Blue Ivy, to sit courtside at the NBA All-star basketball game to root on the New Orleans Pelicans.

On Sunday night, the celebrity couple took their five-year-old daughter to watch the basketball game at the New Orleans Pelicans' centre, and treated her to a stick of blue candy floss as they sat in the best seats in the house.

Dressed in a lime green dress, denim jacket and trainers, Blue – who is reportedly launching her own cosmetics line – looked in her element as she sat next to her rapper father and pregnant mother, who was dressed in a printed, floor-length kimono, black heels and distressed jeans.

Pregnancy chic never looked so good.

During the game, Blue was seen receiving a backpack from mascot, Pierre the Pelican, with whom she shared a hug and kiss.

Elsewhere in the stadium, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend sat to watch the game, with the La La Land actor later taking to Instagram to share a picture of his daughter, Luna, sitting on his lap wearing her very own basketball jersey and headphones.

'Basketball with baby Luna,' John captioned the Instagram pic.

The Carters outing follows a night out at Southern comfort food restaurant, Willa Jean, with Solange Knowles and her son, Daniel Julez Smith.

According to E! News, Beyoncé – who just last week killed her Grammy performance in a gold Grecian-inspired dress – satisfied her pregnancy cravings with New Orleans delicacies including fried chicken and biscuits.

Sounds like the perfect weekend with the family, to us.
