So Lorde has released her first new music in three million years and we are into it.
And the music vid is to die for - so we've broken down what we've taken from what Lorde has called her favourite video yet.
1. Moody-pouty is still a look
Lorde does full Kiera Knightly pouting throughout this music video and we don't hate it.
2. Highlighting to the max
She proves a glossy lid and highlighted cupid's bow can work for 'going out out' make-up.
3. Lob is life
Although her long, wild mane of yonder-year was beaut, this lob, done by none other than Kardashian cutter Jen Atkin, is messy, sexy and oh so cool.
4. Bodycon reassessment
We are not ones to fall head-over-heels for clothes that make us look like sausage meat...but this dress is making us reconsider all kinds of things.
Racked actually managed to track down the dress, but it's blummin' vintage, so it looks like we can but dream.
5. Return of the Superstar (trainers)
Just when we thought it was all about Gazelles, Lorde throws us a curve ball and wears 2015/6's favourite kicks.
6. Car dancing
This has legitimised us asking our Lyft drivers if we can boogie on the bonnet whilst they have a fag break.
7. Good/bad dancing
Lorde is the Queen of sacrificing 'cool' dancing for passionate dancing. And that is something we can wholly get behind. (We're dancing badly on purpose...we promise)
8. Jack Antonoff needs to buy adult clothes
Yes, we've all been there, but just because you CAN fit into clothes a couple of sizes smaller, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
9. Lorde is still amazing at putting deep lyrics on a dance track
Sure we want to dance to it, but also how good are the lyrics?!
Firstly, there's the lie about the ex liking the beach, and then the sharks teeth, and then the teeth of the lie coming back to bite him...deep.
And what is the 'green light' about? Simply a sign to 'go' and move forward? OR it could be like in Great Gatsby? There's the green light coming from Daisy's house across the river to signal the attainment of the American Dream, as well as a possible future with Daisy, which is bound with their troubled past?! OR it could be something to do with the above post from her Instagram? So many questions.
