Gird your loins people, there's going to be a live-action re-make of Aladdin.

If you think that Beauty and The Beast looks good, just imagine it, the flying carpet, the sand cave...the Genie?!

Guy Ritchie is going to direct it, and he's looking for both his Jasmine and Aladdin.

They must be Middle Eastern (no whitewashing here, phewf), 18-25-years-old and be able to sing.

That means it's gong to be all-singing, all-dancing, also like Beauty and the Beast.

You're going to have to move fast though, filming starts in April.

And this isn't the only beloved Disney movie that's getting an open casting call, The Hollywood Reporter says that a live-action version of Mulan is in the works.

The leading lady will apparently need to be 'fluent [in] English and Mandarin Chinese' which leads us to suspect they too will be avoiding the pitfalls of so many different shows.

The Sky Arts recently had to pull one of their episodes of Urban Myths which starred Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson.

Turns out people aren't o.k. with white people playing characters of different races anymore...who knew?
