We love a misfired Tweet over at ELLE. We know it can happen to the best of us, but it's still funny when it does.

Back at the beginning of March, some dude tried to troll Liberals with a photo of two people sitting next to each other on the bus with the caption, 'this is the future liberals want'.

And everyone was like...pretty much.

This time around a guy is trying to catch some major lady points by showing his intellectual side.

Unfortunately, (but fortunately for us), it went down like a cup of sick.

Turns out, women don't give a flying feck what boys find attractive because, and wait for it, this is quite a novel idea we know, we don't exist for your pleasure. We know, literally 90 per cent of films ever will tell you differently, but it's true.

With no further ado, here is the offending Tweet:

Firstly, people pointed out that, not only was the post slightly hypocritical (since if he loves reading books so much, why is he on Twitter telling us about it), but also that you can actually read on a phone. Because it's 2017.

And others were not up for letting this sexist Tweet slide unchecked.

The moral of the story is the unsolicited advice or opinions on how women live their lives (particularly if you are a man) will not go down well. We repeat, will not go down well.

If we want your help or thoughts, we promise you, we will ask for it, otherwise, keep schtum.

Or Tweet about it so we get more funny responses, that works too.
