Our favourite singer of melancholy balads took SXSW by storm over the weekend.

Lana Del Rey had a surprise gig at the Texas-based music festival, and it was apparently jam-packed with people, despite only having a 24 hour warning.

The lucky audience members were treated to the first ever live performance of her month-old single 'Love' from her upcoming fifth album.

And it looks like she smashed it.

She played eight tracks in total with songs spanning her career.

Including 'Video Games'.

And 'Yayo'.

After the show she stayed around to see her fans, could we be any more jealous right now?

Lana has been a busy bee, last month she called on the witches of the US to cast a spell on Donald Trump.

So far, we haven't seen any evidence of the success of the occult, but we're not giving up hope.

She has also been spotted with Miles Kane, perhaps suggesting they have collaborated.

If that's true we could not be more excited, it will be americana nostalgia times a million.

Since Lana burst onto our screens back in 2011, her melancholic songs have never been far from our minds, and we cannot wait to see what she brings us next.
