The Beyhive is a powerful thing.

As well as protecting Bey come rain or shine, they can pool their resources to get a true Beyoncé fan in contact with Queen B herself.

Ebony Banks is a high-school student and Beyoncé fan, who is battling a rare stage-four cancer.

And they Tweeted and Retweeted and Tweeted again until Bey listened.

Her friends told their local news site, ABC 13, 'You don't really know what can happen with cancer. You don't know if it's going to go away or come back. (It's) a scary though... Beyoncé is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we're trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyonce's attention.'

The students' determination paid off and Beyoncé FaceTimed her fan.

It just goes to show what can happen when enough people band together.
