Ahead of Pippa Middleton's nuptials to hedge fund manager James Matthews next month, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a family dinner at Kate Middleton's younger sister's London Home and caught up with their relatives and soon-to-be in-laws.

Over the weekend, Prince William and Kate Middleton joined 33-year-old Pippa and her fiancé, James, 41-years-old, for a family dinner, along with James' brother Spencer Matthews – of E4's Made In Chelsea fame – and his parents David Matthews and wife, Jane Parker.

The mother-of-two dressed perfectly for the Spring climate, wearing a floral print dress and black heels while her husband dressed down in a blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves.

According to the Mirror, Pippa and James – who announced their engagement in July last year – plan to marry next month in a ceremony at Pippa's family's village church of St Mark's in Englefield, Berkshire, before enjoying a small reception in her parents' back garden with a select 150 guests.

It's rumoured British fashion designer Giles Deacon will design Pippa's bridal gown, six years after designer Sarah Burton designed the wedding dress worn by the soon-to-be-bride's sister, Kate.

The family meal comes weeks after Kate Middleton joined her sister for her hen-do in Meribel, France.

According to HELLO! magazine, the secret pre-wedding party involved a weekend of skiing – a favorite pastime of the Middleton family – while Prince William enjoyed another skiing holiday with his friends in Verbier, Switzerland, where he was spotted 'dad dancing' on the dance floor at Farinet nightclub.

The royal couple reportedly travelled together to their respective ski destinations in the same private jet, which was paid for by the Middletons.

However, Prince William's decision to party in Switzerland has come under fire from critics who aren't impressed with him skipping a major Commonwealth event at Westminster Abbey to go on the skiing holiday.
