Aubrey Drake Graham and Robyn Rihanna Fenty are something of star-crossed lovers.

A boy from Canada and a girl from Barbados who fell in love with each other after years of music-making, with him declaring his undying love for her on live television – in front of the industry's most important power players, we might add – and her, well, swerving him.

It's a story for the ages.

Their on and off, and on and off again (we could go on) relationship saw the 'One Dance' singer hanging out with her family, his dad Dennis saying they are just mates, them getting matching shark tattoos, her unfollowing his faux beau J.Lo on social media, them snogging on stage (in between what seemed like constant dry-humping), him saying he still misses her, her putting not-so-cryptic messages up on Insta... the list goes on.

However, there is now further evidence that good ol' Cupid just won't let Drake and Rihanna leave each other's lives just yet, as the pair were recently spotted awkwardly avoiding each other at one of life's least sexy venues of all time – a child's birthday party.

And thankfully, we have some delightful snaps to enjoy a wee cringe or two.

Firstly, there's this very useful video by 'BallerAlert' which shows RiRi picking up a baby, putting the child in a ball pit and then looking incredibly bored.

Meanwhile, Drake can be seen looking somewhat shifty in the corner with another baby, while Rihanna tries her best not to walk over a group of babies in the kitchen.

Okay, so it's not thrilling footage, but we like to read between the lines over here.

Give us a second while we put on our body language spectacles.

Now, from their behaviour we can see there's a lot of passive-aggressive plastic-cup cleaning from Drake's end. Meanwhile, Rihanna is doing all she can to avoid eye contact with her ex-beau, even if that means making small talk with toddlers.
