Whether you idolise the God-given role of the monarchy or hate their elitist guts, it can be easy to forget they are people, just like you and me.

They burp, they can't find their socks (rather...their maids can't find their socks?), they even p**s each other off. In particular, back when Kate and Wills were giggling newlyweds, Prince Charles apparently found them really annoying.

A new biography about Prince Charles by Sally Bedell Smith spills all the supposed beans about how much the young couple peeved him.

According to Smith, in 2011 when the newly-wed couple went on the post-wedding tour of North America, Charles was 'more than a little irked'.

Apparently he thought they were too camera happy.

Their job is to literally visit people and get good photo-ops to improve public relations and bring visibility to different events and charities and seemingly, they did it so well it annoyed Charles.

You just can't please some, can you?

That means, all those photos of the Duke in Duchess in Cowboy hats that we all loved. Well, he hated them.

But look, Charles, they're dressed like cowboys! He's wearing plaid Charles! Charles?

Unlike Dad, it turns out Granny was actually the cool one.

According to Esquire, William was unhappy with the 700-people-strong guest list for the wedding, so the Queen told him, 'Get rid of it ... Start from your friends and then we'll add those we need to in due course. It's your day.'

This meant, amongst other people, two ex-Prime Ministers were axed from the proceedings. What a hip Grandmama.
