There are numerous ways to show you're in a mood with your other half; refuse to open their WhatsApp messages for at least four hours as they are not worthy of two blue ticks, tell them you're 'fine' because there's nothing more passive aggressive that the description of being 'fine', stare at them blankly for an uncomfortable amount of time over the dinner table when they reveal they've invited their mates over to watch the football after your date night.

However, when you're Melania Trump and you're married to a man who seems somewhat out of touch with emotion, common sense and compassion, you have to be a bit more inventive when showing your other half just how p*ssed off you are at their behavior.

So, this might explain why the First Lady just did the most bold, un-First Lady-like thing ever, by letting her Twitter activity speak volumes about the state of her marriage.

Yesterday, Melania's Twitter account revealed she had 'liked' a tweet from journalist and producer Andy Ostroy, who tweeted a gif of her smile dropping at the inauguration, with the caption: 'Seems the only #Wall @realDonaldTrump's built is the one between him and @FLOTUS #Melania #trump'.

Andy at first guessed that this might be a bot account or a fan account for the First Lady, but Twitter commenters were quick to point out that it was actually an account run by her.

This was her verified personal account @MELANIATRUMP, not her professional account, @FLOTUS.

What makes this action more bizarre is that this tweet is the first from Melania's personal account since 8 November 2016, the day of the US presidential election, featuring an image of a 'Vote #TrumpPence16' badge.

Unsurprisingly, the former model's passive aggressive tweet hasn't gone unnoticed.

According to Select All, Melania removed the 'like' an hour later, by 10.53, without a comment.

For a First Lady who we know very little about, perhaps this was Melania's way of showing the public she has a dry sense of humour.

Maybe she was taking a leaf out of Trump's book and thought it was a good idea to express her feelings on social media, in the same way we do at 4am on a Sunday morning, post-night out cradling a KFC Bonless Banquet in our arms as we tweet about our ex?

Perhaps it was a not-so-subtle cry for help?

Who knows.

One thing we do know is Melania is a badass.
