We all know that celebrities (and we know that term is often applied very loosely) can earn a sweet buck with Social Media posts.

Actor Busy Philips (from White Chicks, Cougar Town and so much more) recently came out after a Cosmopolitan article praised her 'realness' on Instagram, to explain that she actually earned more from Social Media posts last year than she did acting.

She explained in a video with the caption, 'We all gotta make 🤑 🤑 🤑',

I'm not above it, guys...I just only choose things that I genuinely like and like, would want to partner with, like, for instance, my Michaels partnership, which, you know, is my favorite thing of all time. And I'm doing one next week, I think, that feels like me.

It has also recently come out that when it comes to the gender pay gap, being an 'influencer' was one of the few careers in which the inequality was swapped, with female influencers out-earning their male counterparts by a third.

But just how much are these women earning from their #spon posts?

Well, a Swedish personal loan company called Advisa has apparently figured out an algorithm to estimate how much each post is worth based on celebrity follower counts.

Advisa have made a handy calculator from a social analytics company called Stashmetrics and which can estimate how much each celeb could theoretically earn per post.

So, armed with these useful tools, we've estimated how much certain ELLE team members could be earning if they got their acts together.

Our very own Digital Beauty Editor George Driver has 1,415 followers and could grab a whopping £48.14 for posts just like this:

Whilst ELLE's print Beauty Editor Joely Walker has almost 9,035, so she could cash in around £208.65 for shots like this:

How about the 'influencers'?

At the 135k line is fashion blogger Tamu Mcpherson could be raking in £1,771.62 for this kind of shot:

And the big ole celebs?

Kim K is famously under the 1 mil line, so she's in the business for an £328,514 payout for this kind of snap:

Which means the current Queen of Insta, Selena Gomez is probably closer to getting £380,985 for one single shot.

Yep, maybe you're in the wrong career. Turns out selling yourself, pays.
