If it's not the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sending out 'thank you' cards to well-wishers who helped celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary last month, or Emma Stone replying to a La La Land-inspired 'promposal', it appears celebrities can't get enough of making contact with their respective fans to show them just how much their love and support have meant to them over the years.

And now, it's the turn of Taylor Swift to shower her most beloved supporters, otherwise known as the 'Swiftites', with love and appreciation.

Over the weekend, US-based T-Swizzle fan, Ashley Silvers, took to Twitter to share the news the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer had sent a handwritten note and flowers in response to her graduation party invitation.

The 27-year-old, who has been laying low of late, except for an Instagram post to celebrate the latest music from best friends, Haim last week, wrote to her fan to say:

'Ashley, Hi love! I'm so sad that I can't make it to your graduation party! The New York theme, the photo booth, it being on the 13th…that's my kinda party.

'I'm so proud of you, your hard work and dedication, your excitement and ambition. I'm very lucky that a girl like you cares about me.

'Sending you my love and hugs (and to your family!). Love, Taylor,' she signed off the note.

Explaining how she came to receive such a thoughtful letter and present from Swift, Silvers explained to E! News:

'I sent an email to her site and mailed the invitations to her headquarters in Nashville! It was basically the party invitation and a letter explaining why I was inviting her and what she means to me.

'She just got my fan mail at the right time and life has a funny way of working I guess! I feel very lucky and I can't wait to share more moments with her!

'Thank you Taylor for showing me that you see us and appreciate us just as much as we do you. Love you!,' she told the news outlet.

Come to think of it, our desks are looking in need of some colour at the moment. Perhaps if we invite Swifty to our next staff night out, she might return the invitation with a bunch of flowers.

Tay-Tay, our favourites are tulips, if you're wondering.
