The Real Reason Why The Weeknd And Selena Gomez Won't Be Moving In Together Any Time Soon

The singers have reportedly made an important step when it comes to taking their relationship to the next level and we couldn't respect it more.

Following their insane level of PDA at the Met Gala earlier this month, where Selena Gomez was spotted smooching The Weekend on the red carpet, snuggling into his shoulder and heard whispering the L-word, weeks after taking selfies together at Coachella and enjoying endless flights across the world to see each other during the Canadian singer's world tour, we had a feeling things were getting pretty serious between the loved-up singers.

However, it appears the pair have decided to take things slowly when it comes to taking their relationship to the next level.

Following the release of her single, Bad Liar, last week and the success of her Netflix series 13 Reasons Why on which she works as executive producer, Gomez has reportedly bought herself a new house in Los Angeles.

According to the Observer, the 24-year-old has purchased a £1.7 million, four-bedrooms house, which features four bathrooms, a library, living room, gourmet kitchen, two fireplaces, a great room with vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors, a swimming pool and 'formal gardens' (whatever they are).

If that's not enough, Selena's master suite reportedly has four wardrobes, including two walk-ins, where the Louis Vuitton model will be able to hide away her bespoke, secret message-embroided Coach bag from the Met Gala and enviable collection of red carpet dresses.

Meanwhile, her 27-year-old boyfriend has also reportedly dropped a staggering £13.8 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California (he does like those Hills doesn't he?).

The 'Can't Feel My Face' singer's lavish new home boasts a whopping nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a resort style saltwater pool (because, of course), a wine cellar, 8-stall barn, a guesthouse and five-car garage, according to the Daily Mail.

While we're slightly sad the pair aren't announcing they're moving in together any time soon, we have to remember that Selena and The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) only went public with their relationship this year, so a move-in date might slightly premature.

News of the pair's real estate investments comes amid rumours the duo might be singing together on Selena's up-coming tack, In Her Elementn Her Element.

We're just happy to see Selena and Abel celebrating their independence and taking their new romance each day as it comes.
